Early Puppy Training

Early start, rottweiler puppy at 10 weeks old.

Do yourself and your dog a favor by starting early.

Make it fun for your poppy but stay firm and keep training sessions short around 15 minutes or less. Don't let a puppy get overwhelmed with difficult tasks or confused by commands.

Increase training session length and complexity as your dog gets older.

Focus on simple tasks at first and always positive reinforcement, remember you can get further with sugar than vinegar. Keep in mind, not every dog breed is is the same, so do your research first and adopt proper training methods for the breed you're working with. All dog breeds benefit from early obedience training, some as early as seven weeks old.
